Grannies On The Road

RVing across America. One small town, beach, park, mountain, flea market, BBQ joint, soda shop, junk shop and diner, at a time.

Florida West Coast Trip day 2

 Day 2:

Since that was the first time I’d ever camped at a Walmart I didn’t get much sleep. I have to admit I was a little scared.  It was very bright and noisy, too. Then around 5:30 the parking lot sweeping thingy started up. I was ready to get out of there. I got dressed and got back in the driver’s seat. I hadn’t even had my coffee.

A few miles down 295 we stopped off at the Pilot truck stop. Wow, that’s the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had.

Headed down to Rt. 10 west, then 301 to Waldo, Fl. where we picked up 24 and somehow made our way over to 75, then over to 98 and around Brooksville to 50 then down 19 to Palm Harbor where we stayed at the Sherwood Forest RV Resort. After getting everything hooked up I called Enterprise Rent A Car to come pick me up so I could get my rental car for the week.

That was a LONG day. But I’m finally here.

Tomorrow I’ll be riding my bike (well, maybe) down the Pinellas Trail to the cute little town on Dunedin.   Pronounced, Done-edin.

Thank you for reading. Hope you enjoy it!

Please come back for Day 3
